How long does the game take to install/why is it stuck?

I just got the game for PC and it's stuck on one point at installing. Am I just being impatient or...? I've tried exiting the installer and retrying it, but it stops at the same point after a few moments.
All of my other games (even Sims 3 games!) have installed quickly without a problem, so I'm not sure what's wrong here?

It's stuck on Copy to C:\Program Files (x86)\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead\GameData\Pack , if that helps. Is the (x86) destination the problem?

The x86 location is correct. It's where 32-Bit Applications are stored.

Where did you buy the game, and is it a download or CD version?
Do you have any security software running, which could interfere with the installation?

I'm not sure where it was bought, it was a Christmas present I recieved. It's a CD.
However... I left the computer alone for a while (lost track of time), and when I came back, it had finished. So it eventually installed, just took a while. Thanks, though. :]

My install took a long time. It was at 1/10 of the way for a long time. A window for direct x update poped up and updated what seemed to be nothing and then finsihed the install. Now my game crashed getting error 101.exe

Does it always crash at the same spot?

    Please post your dxdiag info.

    dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
Windows 8: At the start screen, type in "dxdiag" and hit enter

Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

Open the file and press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+C to copy the contents, and paste them in a reply by pressing CTRL-V.
Sometimes the Forums spam filter catches long posts like this. Don't worry, we can still see them and make them visible.
