The walking dead disk glitches

So, I got this game at the store for Christmas because I love the series and the game has to be good. Well, when I began to play the first episode, everything was fine until I had to get out the cop car. It started to get iffy but not too much. Then when I was getting attacked by the officer, It was so laggy, that it froze and the sound bits kept going. I managed to kill him but when I got to clementines house, it took me about 15 tires to kill the stupid zombie in the kitchen. Throughout the whole first episode it was glitchy but I manage to finish it. When I went to go play the second episode, IT STARTED THE FIRST EPISODE ALL OVER AGAIN! I was so aggrivated and I tried playing the other episodes and it did the same thing. I really want to play this game but I don't know what to do :/ I have an Xbox 4gb slim ..

    As far as the glirhes go, im not having any problems, however, it also wont let me play any other episodes... every time I pick the second episode, it makes me replay the first one over and over... I'm wondering if there is a solution for this or maybe im just not doing something right... plz help!
