How would I set about not getting my save murdered again?

Well, I lost my save and after a suitable moment of rage that involved me elbow-dropping an apple (I try to forget what happens when I'm in my rage-induced haze), I'm replaying it simply because I feel I should experience the finality of the last 2 episodes.

So, given as this game is broken to Hell and back and seems to take a sadistic pleasure in massacring my save files, how can I set about protecting myself from this? I'm playing the Xbox 360 DLC version, and already know not to dashboard or quit out from anything but the main menu (which, might I add, did nothing to help my first file). Any other advice for me?

    Don't forget the adage: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

    Don't even bother playing this a second time with the mindset that you can avoid the save-game-corruption glitch.
