Walking dead episode 2 problem.

Whenever I play the walking dead and choose the play option on episode 2, all I get is a blank black screen where all I can do is move my mouse. I've taken a look at the other threads but none of the solutions work for me. And my problem is also different because most other people get the inventory bar on the left but I get nothing.

Occasionally when I click on play once the black screen comes it then comes up with a window asking if I want to rewind. This makes no sense because I have no save data past episode one so there is nothing to rewind. And no matter if I answer yes or no to the window the black screen still remains. There isn't even any sound during this screen and normally to quit I have to use ctrl+a't+delete.

How can I fix this problem?

Please follow the instructions to run the Support Tool and attach the resulting "support_data_pc.zip" or "support_data_mac.zip" to your next reply in this thread.

Please try renaming the prefs.prop in
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead\Pack\default
    to prefs.prop.bak

I did that. When I then tried playing, it said I was on episode 5 for some reason. So I just decided to rewind back to the beginning of episode 2. It asked me if I wanted to do this, I said yes, I got a loading screen and everything looked fine. But after the loading screen, my screen was still black only the inventory bar now showed up and there was music and sound playing that sounded like it was the sound that plays at the beginning of the episode. Only there was also this strange other sound that sounded like another music track was playing along with the one that was supposed to be playing.

The game stays like this until I leave using the same methods as before.

It is possible, that the prefs.prop in the steam folder is the one that works better.
Please try renaming the prefs.prop in
    C:\Users\michael7\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
    to prefs.prop.orig

Then move the prefs.prop.bak from the steamapps folder to
    C:\Users\michael7\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
    and rename it to prefs.prop

If that doesn't work either, please .zip prefs.prop, prefs.prop.orig and all *.save files.
Then upload the .zip file to an instant filehoster and post the download link.
