Poker Night at the Inventory won't run

I try to launch Poker Night at the Inventory on Steam. It says it needs to update, installs the Microsoft VC Redist package, and then the little light around my avatar in the corner turns green, waits a couple of seconds and then goes back to blue.

Could someone help me?

    Yeah. So no one knows anything?

    It'd be really cool to get some help with this problem.

    What Windows versions are you running?
    Do you have any gamepads, joysticks or other non essential USB devices you could unplug before starting the game?

    I'm running it on windows 8. I think the disconnecting the USB devices worked! Thank you!
