A bit worried about preordering the hardcover...

I have a question for you guys at the TT Store. You see, I've thought about ordering pretty much everything in your store, but I'm a bit concerned that if I throw in a preorder for the hardcover Surfin' the Highway in my order, I won't get any of the other stuff that might go out of print before the hardcover's release...

I shouldn't have to split it into separate orders to avoid this, should I?

When you place an order that has the hardcover in it, the rest of the items are put aside for you until the hardcover is available. So you don't have to worry about items going out of stock while you're waiting. :)

I have an another question about preordering.

I ordered hardcover february 9th and paid via Visa (Electron with Visa verification) and a money reservation appeared immediately to my bank account. Normally it takes about a week to confirm the payment, but in this case reservation just disappeared. In the shop account order still looks normal. Another order with only currently available items is already charged.

Won't the preorder be charged untill the shipping, or has something gone wrong? I don't want to lose my copy of hardcover just because of error.

That was an authorization, not a charge. The authorization is made when you enter the credit card info (to make sure the card is valid and can cover the charge). The charge will be made when the book ships.

Thank you for confirmation, I did figure it have to be in that way. The full prize reservation was distracting since I was over a week unable to use 60$ and now got them back with no info. Usually authentication is hidden 0$ transaction or as paypal 1€ charge.

Now I just have to wait and make sure I have enough money in bank when the hardcover will finally be shipped.

For now this is the most exciting international shopping I have ever done since I am not 100% sure about the Customs. I think low price of dollar helps with that, because 60$ is now less than 40€. :p

The authorization should have been invisible to you, but different banks display it differently. Sometimes it looks like a charge and then just disappears.
