Won't load in Windows 8/Steam

Just purchased through Origin...which then has me load the game through Steam. I've tried verifying cache, running as admin, running in different compatibility modes with no luck.

    TWD is not officially supported on Windows 8.

    P4: DINPUT8.dll

    Your error report shows a DINPUT8.dll issue, which usually happens if you have gamepads or joysticks connected when starting TWD.
    Please try unplugging the Razer Nostromo, or any other non essential USB devices before starting the game.
