duelling banjos

can anyone explain to me how to play the duelling banjos in curse of monkey island? i know you have to follow the pirate but everytime its guybrushs turn and i move the curser onto the correct string and press "U" the guy justs asks me if ive had enough. what am i doing wrong? thank you for any answers

    You don't need to 'use' the strings, just click them. In fact, you don't even need to wait for Guybrush to finish what he's playing, just hit all the strings in order and you'll go to the next round. :)
