I gave Poker Night at the Inventory as a gift to my girl friend,but she can not play it !

all she gets is am msg. saying:

"Sorry,this account is not authorized to access this game!!

When she try to start the game !

She DL true Steam and installed it.

    Hi

    Yes she have.



    Tried to re-install Steam and the game but it just gives an blank page when she start the game.
    No telltale logo...just an empty screen...

    It's not just your friend, a quick search found many people with that problem, both for PN1 & 2. The only thing off the top of my head is either the game doesn't support 32 bit OS (doesn't seem likely, but who knows), or possibly she has a cracked version of windows, and somehow this is causing the problem? (More likely, since I don't know a single person who has a legit copy of Win 7 Ultimate). Or maybe she has to associate it with her TTG account? (Again, this is probably a useless suggestion, but this is the only thing I can think of).

    One thing that might work is try running Steam in WinXP compatibility mode (some people who had the problem said that fixed it).

    Again, sorry for such crappy advice, but this is all I could think of. Best of luck!

    While doing a quick search about this problem (I can't run any TT game, not even on Desura), it looks like it's related to Win7's Parental Control. I will see if that is my problem. You can try playing around with that option in Control Panel.

    You cannot set parental controls for an Administrator account. If you are having issues with parental controls, then you are not on the admin account, and need to either run the game as an administrator or login to the administrator account and then reinstall the game.

    I know, I only have one account but there is something I'm skiping. I already tried "Run as admin", xp compatibility, 98 compatibility, disabling visual themes, desktop composition and scaling on high DPI setting, my video card drivers are up to date, reinstalling the game, deleting .blob files (which won't be of any help if my desura version of BTTF is having problems too), verifing the integrity of game cache, using a prefs.prop that a moderator post it, reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, No error on the Event Viewer with anything related with PokerNight2 and I'm not using any gamepad.

    ...

    Soooooo... I took the only option I had: reinstalling windows. AND IT WORKED.
    I guess my O.S. was missing something and that solved it. This is not the ideal solution, I know, but it worked :D
