Episode 4 doesn't work

I've tried starting a new save and playing it from the beginning up to ep 4, but when I try to play ep 4 it gives me a black screen with the cursor showing and windy, outdoor audio playing in the background. I've tried skipping to ep 4 and other methods, but nothing works :(

EDIT: nevermind I fixed it. I just deleted the 2 pref.props files i had in my steam folder.
