Question about game outcomes

I have a question about how the game randomizes the game outcome, I assume its 1 of 2 methods:

Shuffle the deck and deal from the top for each hand.

Pick a random deal from a pool of predetermined outcomes.

Is it the same for both Poker Night games?

Any speculation is welcome but not really helpful. I'm not critiquing the game at all, I'm just a minor RNG "enthusiast" and enjoy games more when I know what kind of game I'm playing.

    Its the first one. I "shuffle" the deck, then deal from the top. I even burn cards appropriately, even though it doesn't really make a difference in the randomization.

    btw, awesome games. I bought the 1st one because of cross promotion with TF2 and bought the 2nd one because of the 1st one.
