Xbox 360 400days patch deleted saves
I have played all 5 episodes of season one.
Lastnight I went to the game on my XBOX and saw a DL Patch for 400Days
It's comming soon.. Cool.
But, now all my season one saves are deleted..
I started playing the game again so I would have it all ready by the time 400 is released.
I played all of Episode 1, went through all the credits, it returned me to the main menu as it should, but when I went to choose Episode 2, I noticed there was no episode 1 save.
All 3 of my saves boxes remain empty even after just finishing Episode 1 minutes prior.
As much as I have enjoyed this game, I do not relish the thought of having to play it all over and over especially if it wont save anything..
lil help? suggestions? anyone else expirence this?

When you install a title update on xbox, you are signed out of your account. After the update installed, were you automatically logged back in? If not, did you log manually and into the same profile you previously completed the game with?
Do you have all 5 episodes installed on your Xbox?
Did you have you game data, save data, or profile installed on a flash drive?
How recently did you play The Walking Dead (loading into a save game) before you installed the 400 Days Title Update?
After installing the update and loading the game, were you prompted to select a storage device? Do you have more than 1 storage device connected to the unit (this includes having an Xbox slim with 4GB internal storage and an installed physical HDD, which is how the first run of slims were released)?
If you navigate to your System tab, then Storage, then select the storage device containing The Walking Dead game and save data, do any files appear corrupted (exclamation mark in a yellow circle)?
Also, please try one other thing. When you first launch The Walking Dead and proceed to the Main Menu, if you do not see your save, press the Xbox Guide button, then log out of your profile (this will take you to the game's title screen). Now log back in to your profile and check to see if your saves are there.
If you only want to start a new game and have all 5 episodes installed and all your game and save data as well as your profile are stored on your HDD, we may be able to resolve this issue by removing your save data from the Storage screen (or move it to a USB, just in case). The next time you launch The Walking Dead, start a new game, wait for the opening savepoint (during the opening credits, the icon should appear in the upper right corner of the screen), then exit to the Main menu and verify that your save file exists. If you try this method, please let us know if it works for you. Otherwise, please provide answers to the questions above or any other relevant information you may think of and we'll investigate this issue further.
I'll attempt to answer each question.

To the best of my knowledge, upon the update install I think it automatically re-logs me back in. I have only one profile.
Do you have all 5 episodes installed on your Xbox? Yes. I Have gotten each episode as they were released.
Did you have you game data, save data, or profile installed on a flash drive?Yes. Because of the size of the episodes, I had to get a flash drive to hold the entire game. I believe it was after Episode 3 or 4 when I realized the standard HD on my xbox would not hold the entire game so I got a flash Drive. Every episode is there.
How recently did you play The Walking Dead (loading into a save game) before you installed the 400 Days Title Update? I have kept my save 1 as my origional playthrough and havent touched it since I completed episode 5. I would guess I started my second save (alternate choices) about a month ago but was still only on episode 3.

As mentioned, the storage device I used for TWD is a flashdrive. The only other storage I have is the standard Xbox HDD. There is also the Cloud, but I never used it.

Just to clarify, you have all 5 episodes on a USB flash drive, and have had them stored this way for months, and your profile and save data are on the Xbox HDD? It sounds like you may have a 1st generation Xbox with a smaller HDD (20 or 60GB) and ran out of room for the game or do you have a 4GB slim?
You may be running into a timing issue as the Title Update is now stored in your System Storage due to its size. If you could, please try a couple different things and let me know if they work.
Leaving everything as is, launch the game, proceed to the Main menu, sign out of your profile then sign back in.
If that doesn't work try either moving your Title update to your flash drive so it resides with all other game data, or move The Walking Dead game data to your HDD. If you don't have room for all 5 episodes, just move episode 1.
To verify if these suggestions work, please launch the game and once you see a save icon, exit to the main menu to check if the save file is there.
Please let us know if these suggestions resolve your issue.
I Launched the game, signed out then back in to my profile. rather than spending 90 mins to play EP1 again to see if it saved, I just went straight to EP 5 and started it.. It appeared to have saved the random choices and i now have a save.
After that I played EP1 again, using my own choices and it saved.. I guess the log out/in the profile worked.
Thanks for your time and effort, it's greatly appreciated.
I have all six episodes now. No save games during loading but save files on both my cloud and hdd. The game never asks to choose a storage device. I've tried logging out/in while in game. Still nothing...
I have 150+gigs on hdd. TWD won't read my storage devices.
I have bought the Walking Dead: The Complete First Season Plus 400 Days : Xbox 360. I have completed all of the five episodes. But for some reason, 400 days will not play. What am I doing wrong?
