Game won't continue after logging in

I'm having trouble starting The Walking Dead on my computer. I bought the game via telltalegames.com.
Once I click on the game, I reach the screen I have attached below. After the login window appears for me to type in my nickname and password, the login window disappears, but I am still stuck on this screen. It won't let me reach the menu to even start a game.
Is there anything I can do to solve the issue?

My computer properties are:

Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit OS)
4 GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU Processor

    The game might be loading updates at that point, which can take a while, depending on the connection speed.

    If it doesn't resolve by waiting, please follow the instructions to run the Support Tool and attach the resulting "support_data_pc.zip" or "support_data_mac.zip" to your next reply in this thread.
