My positive and Negative feedback about the game

Well, first of all, my name's Krystian, from Spain. I work in a videogame Magazine, and I was the one who had to play and review this game.

They handed me the three versions of the game, PS3, PC and Xbox360. And well, I did find bugs (I had to play the game way too much, not only because i had to play the 3 versions, but because the game keep deleting the saves), slowdowns and framerate drops in all versions, but in the Xbox360 one, the game is just unplayable.

This was, pretty much, at the release date of the Disc version of the game, back in December of the last year, 2012.

Today, I am not working anymore with these guys, and I was working in a videogame shop until they had to close. The Boss gave me some of the games that we didn't manage to sell as a Gift, and one of those games was The Walking Dead, Xbox360 edition.

Today is 1º of July, 2013. How's possible that in pretty much 7 months these bugs are not fixed?

The game slows down until it's just broken and unplayable, if you somehow manage to beat the first Chapter, it keeps deleting the saves, and all the fixes you guys can give, is that you play the Slim Xbox360 with no HDD, I have to buy one?

Guys, this is not how a game is supposed to be fixed. You do NOT ask the people who support your game by buying it by also asking them to buy something that will cost them more than the actual game itself. Most of the times, 2 or even 3 times the game's cost.

First, you should have tested the game before releasing it, but you should also find the bug in 7 months, and finally, fixing it.

I really can't believe it. I played the game, I personally gave it a 98/100 back when I was working on that Magazine, but the game right now is unplayable, dissapointing, and a waste of money.

Please, stop showing off the fact that the game got the "Game of the Year" award, and fix it. Even in this page I got one Add about the game that's telling me that the game got 80 GOTY awards. Do you think, right now, that a game with 80 GOTY awards should be like this?

Oh and, sending the digital version of the game to the affected people when it will keep failing because of their lack of HDD it's just wrong. You will piss them off even more, if that's possible. In any case, you should give them HDDs to install.

I expect this to get fixed. Otherwise, Telltale is going to get trashed because of bad reviews, angry customers, and people asking for refunds that will never happend.

After all of this, can someone from the Staff come here, and awnser me, and everyone who will end up reading this: Will you fix this, at some point? It's not our fault for playing with the Xbox360 Slim. Will we have to wait until you release that "400 days" DLC for the fix? Or the game will be unplayable until we buy something thats pretty much twice the price?

I'm dying to see you guys awnser, and have a talk. I don't want to get angry at anyone, I know that bugs are something normal in a game, but I would also know if I can help in any way possible.

The hitching issue on Xbox 360 4GB Slim units that you are referencing is not something can be patched. We took advantage of an option built into the 360 console that allows the game to cache to the hard drive instead of loading all content directly during gameplay. Due to this, if you own a console without a hard drive, you will experience hitching. Installing a hard will resolve this issue, however we also made codes available to anyone with an Xbox retail disc and a 4GB slim. These codes allow you to download the full first season of the game onto the flash memory on the console. The digital version of the game does not experience the same hitching as the disc with a 4GB Xbox. As customers were concerned about space limitations, we added to our thread on this issue to explain that once downloaded, the digital content could be moved to a USB flash drive and played from there. Also, only Episode 1 is required to play the other DLC episodes, which means that no more than 2 episodes need to be installed at once to play.

In reference to your deleted saves, can you please elaborate on the issue? If you have not downloaded the latest patches from Xbox Live, you may be encountering an issue where only Episode 1 is available to play off the disc if you are logged into an Xbox Live enabled profile, but playing offline. Please connect to Xbox Live and then launch the game to get the latest patch, or remain online while playing the game.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Well, you guys at Telltale had to have in mind that this would happen. A lot of Xbox 360's out there are the Slim ones, and most people do not have the HDD. Wouldn't be possible to remake the way it works? Maybe i'm asking too much, but a lot of people will get pissed (and a lot of people already are), and if the game keeps getting sales in consoles where the game will not work, this cycle of complains will not stop.

But well, thanks for taking the time to awnser.

Oh and, about the lost saves, it seems to happen when you lose connection to Xbox Live. If you save when you're off, and then quit the game, you may not be able to load back when you're back into Live. Or at least that's what it looks like.
