Episode 101, 102 and 103 available individually in France at retail

edited March 2008 in Sam & Max
I saw it in a supermarket. The first three episodes of season one are available individually at retail. Each costs 9,99 € (15,6 $). I find this a little expensive because the price for the entire season DVD (available since august 2007) is 39,99 € (62,45 $).

It's just for information...

Telltale did the game, JoWood made the translation, Atari is the french publisher ;)

I like how they couldn't be bothered to change the cover image (except the colour).

Wow. I knew Atari was hurting for money but that is a little ridiculous.

So... is this Phil Harrison's master plan to save Atari?

Best of Atari! All right, Telltale! :P

That is the most shoddy packaging I have ever seen for a video game and look at all the brand names! Telltale games, The Adventure Company, JoWood, and ATARI!

    M A D N E S S !

In fact, the cover images are variations of the original packaging for season one... Except that the name Atari is not mentioned on season one packaging (even if Atari was already the french publisher) and the original cover (with the street on background ) is much better...

Discovering Sam and Max for the first time in a french supermarket is sure an interesting way of being introduced to them. :p

For some strange reason, the hat and bling-chain on Max actually feels appropriate.

They were thinking you'd figure out you weren't going to get anywhere that way eventually.

Nah, I don't mean the massive one which could be solved by doing something else. I remember having to do a smaller number of spins, but it was still quite a big, boring amount.
