Can't access saves on my new PC
I recently bought a new PC and have transferred over everything successfully, or so I thought.
I had copied the TellTale Games folder to the Libraries\Documents location of Windows 7.
However in launching Steam the game just doesn't see the saves and only gives me the option to start a new game.
I've tried the advice of copying the prefs files to the Steam folder but still no joy.
While I don't mind playing the game again I was hoping to go through 400 Days first with my previous choices intact.
Anyone know how to get my saves recognized?

Let's check that.
Please follow the instructions to run the Support Tool and attach the resulting "support_data_pc.zip" to your next reply in this thread.
What would be much easier is to use Steam's Cloud saves on your new computer.
DjNDB. I've attacked the file as you've asked. Before copying the saves I first started the game so the game folders would be created. So unless the game created it in the wrong place, I copied my saves to the correct location.
MattP. Unfortunately I don't have access to my old PC anymore, so uploading the saves to Steam is no longer an option.
C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
but there's only 4 of them, and the prefs.prop looks unusually small.
That's definitely not the saves of a complete playthrough.
Is that all files you backed up, or do you have more?
The other ones have been moved to my back-up drive for safe keeping. While I'm keen to get the use of them back, I'm not going to kid myself that it is possible.
I've moved them back so you can see the details with them in place.
It looks like they should be okay.
If you .zip and upload your prefs.prop and *.save files i can take a look at them.
Please upload it as a single .zip file to an instant filehoster and post the download link.
Thanks for all your help with this.
Thanks for all your help with this. It's a shame to lose all that progress but its not a hardship to have to play through again.
Again thanks for your time.
