It won't download at all for my mac close to tears please help me

I bought the game for my MAC cause i didn't have enough space on my phone. Then I clicked the make download waited 3 mins for it to download. Agree to the terms of service. Then I get to screen that says the games title and tells me to drag it into the app folder which i do. Then i double click it then a warning pops up tell me the game is damaged and cant be opened. I've shut down and restarted the computer multiple times, and I've re-downloaded it many times what have I done wrong?

    To fix this issue you will need to disable Gatekeeper. To do this, click the Apple logo on the top toolbar and select System Preferences. Now select Security. If the padlock in the bottom left corner of this screen is not open, click on it. You will now see 3 options for downloaded applications, they are: Mac Store, Mac Store and identified developers, and Anywhere. Please select Anywhere and then confirm your selection. Once this is done, please attempt to download the installer from our website. You should no longer see the damaged file messaging.
