PS3 disc version - unable to play 400 Days after download/install

I purchased The Walking Dead from a store. All episodes were already loaded (except for the 400 days).

I downloaded the 400 days and installed it, but it would not let me play it. It always stated "Get" when I was in the game episode list and would just take me back to the download screen.

I contacted Sony about this. They told me that the content is only available when you DOWNLOAD Episode 1. Since I already have the episodes, I don't think I'll be downloading it.

They advised me to contact Tell Tale, so here I am.

Is there going to be a fix or update? Or am I just screwed? I read that the 400 episodes is supposed to be a bridge between this game and the next. I'd hate to not have it.

Exactly the same problem here. On the positive side, you *can* play 400 days by downloading the demo for episode 1 which is free. However, you don't seem to be able to save a game if you do this and it also (for me anyways) suffers from the "black screen of death" should you happen to die while playing.

I'm having the same issue with 400 Days, where I have the Season 1 disc and have downloaded the content (in both digital and disc versions) but it won't load.

The DLC is present in the Episodes Menu but it either states that it is Coming Soon or it prompts me to "Get" it (which I have already gotten).

The idea of downloading Episode 1 (even though I have it on disc) and playing without being able to save doesn't seem like a reasonable option.

    Please help. Thanks.

I have downloaded both versions as everyone else but when I enter the game its just a black screen, it shows the telltale and skybound intro but before that it shows the loading screen glitch a bit and then its a black screen and I've waited at the most was 15 minutes and nothing happened. What do I need to do?

Okay, there is a very easy solution to this problem and I feel like a dumbass for not trying it sooner.

Although, *ahem* Telltale support could have told me how much of a dumbass I was and provided me with a solution. Oh, well.

    1. Make sure The Walking Dead disc isn't loaded in the PS3 (just a precaution- probably doesn't matter as long as game isn't running).

    2. Go to Game Data Utility NOT Saved Data Utility and delete The Walking Dead.

    3. Load The Walking Dead disc.

    4. The game will then re-install (takes about 5 minutes).

    5. When installation completes, start game and on the title screen go to Downloadable Content (it should have a red exclamation point next to it).

    6. You will be directed to the PSN Store and the 400 Days download screen. Download the DLC but MAKE SURE YOU ONLY DOWNLOAD THE DISC VERSION. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE DIGITAL VERSION.

    7. Once the 400 Days download is complete- start the game and go to your last save- Episode 5. It will quickly run through the episodes and 400 Days will be ready to play.

That was an irritatingly easy fix.
  • Thanks so much!

  • Love the game but this occurred with me too. Ill give it a try... WTF telltale get ur shit together

  • I am sooo irritated by this. Why the heck have they made it so complicated and then failed to provide any feedback or support to people having trouble. Poor form Telltale really.

Tried everything above and STILL can't play it. It just says 'Coming Soon' on my list of episodes. I'm really naffed off. What a waste of time and money.

  • Didn't work for me. Not even going to bother getting the second season now.

Please make sure that you have downloaded the correct version of 400 Days. When you purchased 400 Days it gives you two downloads. Download the (bluray version) if you have the disc version of The Walking Dead, or the (digital version) if you have the downloadable Walking Dead. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, are your 400 Days and The Walking Dead both from the same region? They are incompatible if they are from different regions. For example if you have a US disc of The Walking Dead and a European version of 400 Days, they will not work together.
