400 days Vince bug

I'm enjoying 400 days so far but I can't seem to get past this bug when I play Vince's story.

The problem is right in the beginning when he is riding on the prison bus and talking to the two other inmates. Danny starts talking about his girlfriend and the game just freezes and closes. If it doesn't freeze on that section it freezes a minute later when Danny calls the other inmate white collar and the same thing happens.

I've tried rewinding to another section, starting a new save, reinstalling the game, and even reinstalled Steam but nothing has worked. I'm also playing on a Mac if that makes any difference.

Any advice would really be appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Mel

Exactly the same thing here. Seems to be a Mac release bug. Advice would be much appreciated, love the DLC so far!
  • I also posted about this yesterday (didn't see this thread). Exactly the same bug. Also running mine on a Mac. Clearly Telltale need to release a patch for this.

  • I recently bought the game and I have the same problem in MAC, any way to solve it, is incredible that this bug is still unsolved :( I want to finish the game before the second season.

I have the exact same problem, the exact same place - also on Mac 10.9 Mavericks.

It seems Telltale Games doesn't have a problem taking our money, but regarding this issue, they don't give a flying F*** about MAC users !

  • And seems that we will never have a solution for that and we can't have a completed history before the new season :( but they have our money that for sure...

  • I have exactly the same problem, running the DLC on my Mac. Do you know about any solution, or doesn't Telltale give a fuck about this?

I apologize for the inconvenience. Here are a few possible solutions:

    1) Restart your computer

    2) Play the game with your computer disconnected from the internet

    3) If your Mac has multiple graphics cards, go to your system preference and click on ‘energy saver’. Uncheck ‘Automatic Graphics Switching’ and this will make sure your Mac is using your more powerful graphics card.

    4) Verify your cache if you purchased through Steam (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)

    5) Try playing the game with no other programs running in the background

    6) Reinstall the game

If reinstalling the game doesn’t resolve the issue, also delete your prefs .prop and saves which can be found within your library/application support/telltale games/The Walking Dead (you may wish to back these files up to an external HDD or flashdrive.)

If none of these help, could you please provide me with your Mac system specifications? You can find your specs by selecting the Apple logo on the top toolbar of you desktop, then select 'About this Mac', and then 'More info...' and then click “system report”. Please copy and paste the Hardware Overview, Graphics/Displays, and memory information into your reply.
