Episode 1 Stuck

I'm at the beginning of episode 1 just after you crawl over the fence after getting out of the cop car. No matter how close I am to the glass door, my character just keeps saying "I wonder if anybodys home" I watched a youtube video and it showed in the video the door opening. For some reason my game won't do that. I have already saved and restarted, but that didn't help.

    What are you playing on?

    If it is console you need to press "B" or "O" I am sure.

    If it is PC then you should be able to scroll through your options when you aim your cursor at the door and I think there is a door icon or something like that and you select it that should open the door.

    I am not sure about IOS or anything though.
