Game won't save and black screen please help!

Okay so I bought the episode 1 and 2 when I had playstation plus, now it expired but I can still play episode 2. I completed the episode 1 and 2 before, now I recently purchased episode 3, 4, and 5. But whenever I play the game doesnt save and after I die, I get the black screen and I lose all my progress. Is there a way to get around this? please help. and I already downloaded the patch for this game but it doesnt work

    and i dont receive any trophies for the parts i complete on episode 3, but i have received all of them for episode 1 and 2.

    Since you allowed your Plus subscription to expire, you no longer have access to any games from the Instant Game Collection, including The Walking Dead. Essentially you are attempting to play DLC without owning the full version of the game (Episode 1). To regain access to the main game and full functionality in DLC content, you will need to either renew your Plus subscription to reactivate the unlock keys for games in your Instant Game Collection, or you will need to purchase Episode 1.
