I feel so sad to watch the old forums go, but I'll always remember the way I posted pics and links and played forum games. I hope I'm happy about the new forums.
I'll always remember the times you told us about the International House of Mojo sites and the World of MI forums being down.
I'm also going to miss this place if the new forums don't turn out well and it ends up killing the general chat community. I've always been more of a lurker than a poster here, but I feel like I know a lot of the people here and I always think it's a bit sad when people leave. It's been a long time since I came here because of the games.
Thanks for being a good place to hang out and get updates on gaming news, old TTG forums.
Adieu, old forums! Ah, the memories of flame wars about how point-and-clicky the point-and-click interface had to be, back when we thought such things were important!
Will I welcome and exercise (or exorcise) the new forums as much as I did you? I know not yet. But I shall wait and see before embracing them or taking my leave.
I already said my goodbye when I put Whatever down (yes, that was because the thread's length caused it to have trouble loading in the new forums), but...well...
11 hours until midnight for Telltale's time zone (Pacific according to the first post). However, who knows when in particular they choose to start the update process.
Has shit to do with the forum migration, but whatever.
Hey, this is coolsome. Its the closest we can ever hope to get of an on topic post from him.
I'm actually kinda looking forward to the new forums. I like trying new features. I loved the timeline on Facebook back when everyone hated it, and I always sign up for betas and things (I was a beta tester for Google maps, and Cosmic Panda (for the youtube redesign. Although Cosmic Panda was better. You could start a video in mostly full screen without clicking a button, Just as you loaded the page.)However, I've never been a big fan of Reddit, their system puts me off going there. Hopefully the community here will hold me long enough to adapt to the change.
Here's a screenshot I found from Google Images. I think it's from earlier than the public beta but the general idea is the same. The "darkness" Friar mentioned was from the background colors of nested comments changing from light to dark brown but I think they fixed that in the middle of the open beta.
that is really neat!!! cant wait to see it now!!:D
It would be cool if they could have had that look, improved the loading time and made the forum accessible 24/7.... and did NOT switch to the reddit-style way of posting. Then I would be really excited about the change.

i have never been to reddit. never once. dunno why but i never cared to.
There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream. People made of smoke, and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there’s injustice, and somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace we’ve got work to do!
These forums have been my home page for a long time, even though I don't really post in them at all anymore. It'll be strange to see them change over in a few hours.
I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... [laughs] A thread dedicated entirely to the artistic portrayal of boobs, glittering like C-beams in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. I watched someone post about pregnant Telltale characters, only to later poster pictures of his own bruises after his brother beat the shit out of him. I've seen a socialist in a wheelchair continually lose verbal battles beginning with the replacement of his own identity with that of an undersea entrepreneur and ending with losing his own fucking password like a big dumb idiot, Comrade Pants, you fucking moron ahahahahahaha. All those... moments... will be lost in time, like [coughs] tears... in... rain. Time...for this forum... to die...

The boobs and musings threads are real classics. Andrew Ryan was probably my first encounter with troll play.

Here's hoping that the new forums are received well!

Godspeed! I mean WarpSpeed!
Okay, so I'm awful at goodbyes.
The forum is new. The community is not. HOPEFULLY.
Very hopefully.
*sniff*
Depends on the time zone. Y'know... they actually have more than one in their country. Cool, eh?
That'll help...

errrr.... has anyone saved pictures from the beta?
Also, when I googled it, all I got was this
And others like it.
Also my avatar for some reason...
That sheep pic fits though. The cute sheep is the old forum. The other sheep is the new one.
East coast over here

In honor of our going away party, I created a short montage of the website as a tribute.
That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. *sniff*

Farewell Old forum, it's been a blast.

Lots of memorable moments.
