imageYields 8 to 10 dangerously delicious servings. Best served warm with arsenic margarine.

1/2 cup soft shortening
2 Tbsp sugar
1 egg
1 cup molasses
1 cup boiling water
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon

1. Heat oven to a glowing 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x9-inch pan. Elf tears make a wonderful lubricant, but in their absence, you can substitute butter or margarine.

2. Thoroughly mix shortening, sugar and egg. Blend in molasses and water. Stir together dry ingredients; blend and beat until smooth. (It may help to picture the faces of naughty girls and boys while you're beating.)

3. Pour mixture in pan. Bake about 35 minutes or until the scent of gingerbread has wafted all through the house.

image If the spirit of Christmas compels you to try this delicious gingerbread, email us at orderup@telltalegames.com with a picture of yourself and/or your loved ones gobbling it down. Jon Sgro's mother will be thrilled.

Dear Max
Letters from you, answers by Steve Purcell

How can they call a gaming console the Wii? I'm embarrassed to say it out loud. What should I do when I want to talk about it?

-Tim, Melbourne

Dear Road Warrior,

It's embarrassing enough to be caught walking around saying "game console" for whatever bizarre reason. Instead why don't you pepper your conversation with much more appealing phrases like "rattlesnake anti-venom", "hamster costume" or even "sucking chest wound". You'll be better for it.

Best always or at least for right now, MAX image
