Gift guide for the lazy

Okay, so there are a few things I want to do in this blog.

1) Remind everyone about how a Sam & Max subscription makes a great gift.

I'm that person who waits until the last minute to buy gifts. Really, the last minute. (I learned it from my dad, the king of shopping at Staples on Christmas Eve and giving everyone in the family highlighters and Post-It notes in their stockings.)

The perfect gift idea for people like me: A gift subscription to Sam & Max Season Two. You place the order like normal, and at the end of checkout, get the option to email a gift code to the lucky recipient, or print out a gift certificate that you can give them in person. It may sound simple, but the closer we get to Christmas, the sweeter a prospect it becomes. Keep it in mind when you're standing in the Post-It aisle trying to decide between the standard pack and the economy size. Just saying.

2) Pimp a few gift ideas that others in the office suggested.

Since you're reading this blog, it's quite possible that you like Sam & Max and/or Telltale. (If that's the case, thanks! We like you, too!) And chances are pretty good that if you like Sam & Max and/or Telltale, you'll be into some of the same things we're into. Which means you may just want to pick up some of the same gifts we're picking up for our friends and family. Such as...

3) Point you in the direction of the huge PopMatters gift guide, which contains more good gift ideas than you can imagine without your head exploding.

I found out about this one because I received an email this morning from someone at PopMatters telling me Sam & Max was included. I hadn't had my coffee yet (someone needs to get me that Blue Bottle subscription... *cough*) and somehow I missed the fact that Sam & Max Season One is featured right there on the first page of the gift guide. I scrolled through ALL TWENTY-SEVEN PAGES before returning to page one and seeing it right there, under Hairspray. Ooops. But in the process, I read about a lot of really cool gift ideas that I will now be buying for my friends and family in place of highlighters and Post-It notes. Once again, the internet proves its worth.

So, anyway, yeah. Gifts. I'm out of things to say about them, but by now you're probably bored of reading about them, so we're even. Happy shopping...
