Gromit approves from the back of a moving vehicle

Despite a deluge of GDC-related coverage this week, the premiere episode of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures still managed to bring in a small mountain of reviews in the days since its release. Based on what we've read so far, "Fright of the Bumblebees" seems to be getting a fair amount of positive buzz (I am so sorry) from the press.

Here a just few small samples of the praise heaped upon Wallace and Gromit's first Telltale adventure:

Jolt - 90%
A credit to the Wallace and Gromit name and I can heartily recommend it.

Pads and Panels - 4.5/5
Wallace & Gromit: Fright of the Bumble Bees is a game that should please both longstanding fans of Telltale and Wallace & Gromit. It is another respectful adaptation of a license done the way only Telltale can.

If this first Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures episode is any indication of what the rest of the series will contain, then I highly recommend it.

Likewise those in the market for an adventure that doesn't involve sword, sorcery or steroidal elves. It's cracking stuff in the main, then, and we can't wait to see what the next three adventures bring.

The game is superbly animated and looks almost identical to the claymation productions.
