I've had my eye on Dan Schoening's work for a while and it's absolutely stunning. His animation influenced style is really what's won me over though as it's what I grew up on in the 80's and 90's. This piece titled 'Do Not Open Until 1985' depicts the pivotal Twin Pines Mall sequence from Back to the Future, and is one of my favorites by 'Dapper Dan', the name Schoening goes by on deviantArt. He has another Back to the Future inspired piece in his gallery, as well as many others based on other 80's films I love, including Ghostbusters, The Blues Brothers, and Teen Wolf! Head over to his deviantArt gallery to see his work (and the un-cropped version of the piece above) - you'll be glad you did! [readmore]

Another piece of notable Back to the Future art that I just recently became aware of is this spread by Glen Brogan that he did for Front magazine! Brogan's site, Albino Raven is chock-full of his pop-culture inspired art. He has a lot of video game based art on display including a very cool Pac-Man/Ghostbusters mash-up. I guess the road to appealing to my artistic tastes runs through Ghostbusters. Check out Glen's site where you can also purchase some of his work as prints, posters, and tee shirts!

Is there any notable Back to the Future art that I've missed? What do you think of the art I've featured here? Let me know in the comments! I'll be showcasing some work from our Back to the Future fan art thread on the boards in the future, so keep it coming!

See Dan Schoening's art in his deviantArt gallery!

Stay tuned to our Back to the Future site for updates on the game!
