MAC: Save games won't load (Walking Dead)

I have been playing Walking Dead on my Macbook Pro for the last week. However, upon restarting the game my previously saved games were not available. I checked the folder and the save files are there.

I have looked online and various fixes regarding moving and copying pref files but the only pref file I can locate is in the same folder as the save files (users/username/Library/Application Support/ Telltale Games/TheWalkingDead.

Is there anyway to recover these files and/or make them work again so I may pick up my game from the last save point.

    Your prefs.prop file is only about 7KB in size, which means it got corrupted somehow. The original prefs.prop is required to access the savegames and decisions, but i don't see any promising alternative prefs.prop in your data.

    That means, i don't know how to recover your savegames in that situation.

    Thanks for your help dude. I decided to start playing it from the start again but it seems to have happened again. I have posted another issue here: http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/50735/save-games-missing-again

    So annoyed as I have wasted so much time on this game now.
