Can telltale save neopets?

edited June 2008 in General Chat
Due to the fact that neopets looks like it is at its lowest maybe it needs a 3d button which would convert areas like haunted woods into 3D or at least interactive hot spots like the brain tree. Instead of boring fetch quest telltale might give us some interesting missions like boss fights and since telltale has the best game scripts it would easily be a success.

I'm going to say it before anyone else gets the chance:
    Neopets+plot= bad idea.

As was proven in the Neopets game for PS2.

Only the dialogues were poor and kiddy and stupid. Who wouldn't enjoy a telltale version of a brain tree 3D quest.

...is there really a way around a game called "neopets" being kiddy?

depends on the pets...there are a few not-childish pets out there. of course i am not talking about hamsters, puppies or kittens or anything, but..you know...snakes, spiders, lizards or snapping turtles maybe. in general everything your girlfriend doesn't like you to have.
furthermore the prefix neo- doesn't automatically make something childish. there is medicine, for example, with neo- in the name, i think.
neopet could mean you're dealing with totally cool, genetically enhanced next generation pets...sadly this is not the case.

I suspect that even Telltale can't save Neopets. Also, not entirely sure we'd want to. I would maybe consider saving Seaman, however, but I don't think he'd want our help.

Wasn't that a really controversial game.

I have no idea. Seaman was definitely a jerk, but it was entertaining for its part, and was definitely a unique take on the virtual pets "craze" of the late 90s.

Seaman 2 was kinda cool. Instead of a freaky looking fish thing you control a freaky looking monkey thing.

Screw that, if Telltale was going to save a virtual pet, then it better be Bonzi Buddy!

They should make Max into a virtual pet.

Besides I'd rather them save Monkey Island and do the game 5.

No. And they shouldn't try either. All virtual wolrds/MMOs are going to die out eventually. It's not going to last. They are all just fads.

It will die off when Blizzard moves on to a new MMO.

Just when WoW begins to stagnate, they'll just throw Duke Nukem in there somewhere.

My dad knows a little spanish, so I guess he knows what "Constipado" means.

So apparently the people behind Puzzle Quest are working on a Neopets game. From what I gather, the gameplay's their take on Othello or something.
