black screen wont load then returns to homescreen
downloaded game (1st episode for free) played through enjoyed. Decided to purchases all episodes and 400 days for 19.99. Purchased and Downloaded. Whenever i try to open the app it just goes to a black screen then back to home screen due to crash. I've deleted app and reinstalled, still didnt work. Turned off iphone 4S and tried to reinstall still didnt work....

also if i download game and turn off device app disappears off my iphone..
I am having the same problem on my iPad. When I open it crashes.
yeah i've even tried the download of VPN app and trying that way same thing...
I'm having the exact same problem and tried exact same things mentioned above... except for the game icon disappearing on reboot. so there is no way to play this game on iPhone OS 7.03 ? I was gonna try it on my iPad but i guess it won't solve the problem.
It won't work on my ipad mini but works on my iphone
We are aware of an issue on iOS 7 that is causing a crash for some users of The Walking Dead. It does appear that this is not isolated to our game as other developers have reported similar crashes on their products. At this time we are hoping for a resolution in the next OS update (iOS 7.0.4). However, if you'd prefer inquiring about a refund, please contact Apple's iTunes Support staff for further assistance.
rather try and stick it out was hooked for only playing the first episode
7.0.4 is out! Any improvements? I got a refund because I didn't want to wait around, but if it works now I might download it again.
Unfortunately the release notes for 7.0.4 say that it only has one fix for a bug with Facetime.

How did you do the restore?
I'm on 5s IOS 7.0.4. Same problem when I tried to download the episodes pack. Please let us know when this will be resolved i.e. patch/app update
7.0.4 downloaded. Still won't open. Can we have a new solution that doesn't involve throwing the problem back at apple now?
We are looking at crash logs and actively trying to understand the issue.

Quick question: When the app crashes, does your Apple ID screen pop up, asking for you to type in your password for iTunes/App Store?
In my case, I formatted my iPhone, re-installed the game, and then restored my purchase with my iTunes account. Fianlly, it works anyway having me a little bit irritated though.
yeah actually soon as it crashes usually the pop up for itunes/app store comes on prompting me for my password
tried that and as soon as i restored my purchases through the game right back to crashing...
Nov. 20th. Latest os downloaded. Still no solution? Should I just get refund?
I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. We have been getting reports of this on iOS 7.0.2 - 7.0.4, We are actively working to find a solution.
so the update fixed it!!! but when i click to restore purchases i still dont have my 400 days and other episodes i pay for. Fix for this?
there should be a button that has the word "restore" on it. click it and should prompt you for your password with the iTunes Store. Everything should work after that. It will prompt you with "get" on each of the episodes... just redownload.... don't expect any of your saved games to be saved. All mine were deleted.
re-deleted game again, re-installed, clicked restore and entered my itunes info. said it was restoring purchases and then it goes off and nothing. Still wants me to buy the episodes and the 400 days pack. @tronix Are there any fixes or walkarounds for this issue?
The Restore purchases button doesn't seem to work for everybody. Sometimes this can be if you used a different account for the original purchase. When it doesn't work, you have to re-confirm the purchase with Apple, which means that you need to click on the Buy button in Game. That brings up an Apple message on screen with a buy button. When you choose to buy there, it will usually ask you for your password and then if you own the content, it will have a message that says you already own it and the app should update and make the episodes downloadable. Sometimes it will not ask for the password if you recently entered it. If after that initial Apple Buy screen it does not say you own the content, then the next screen will ask you to confirm your purchase. Don't do that, as it may be possible to do the purchase again. An area of confusion is if you bought the multi-pack. In that case, you need to re-confim the purchase of the multi-pack to get the episodes to update.

well im still using the same apple account i purchased it under. It seems the above mentioned walk around didnt help as when i hit buy it wanted me to confirm my purchase.
Just to be absolutely clear, when you hit Buy, an Apple message will say, "confirm purchase". When you say "Yes", it asks for your password. It will then either tell you that you own the Episode already and update the episode in-game to say Get, or it will ask you to confirm your purchase a second time before charging you. If you are saying that it is asking you to confirm the purchase the 2nd time, then Apple does not think this account bought the game.
I don't see why you couldn't ask Apple for a refund for what you bought since you are unable to access it. With the game refunded from Apple, you could go ahead and buy it again on your device. Hope that helps.
