At launch, Telltale games only have support for English voices and subtitles (as that is the language of Telltale's writers). Additional languages will be decided and announced at a later date (traditionally towards the end of the season).
@Jennifer I don't bought Season One until that it was released in disc. At that moment the game already had subtitles in Spanish.
But "400 Days DLC" did have subtitles in Spanish since launch day . Why in the year 2013 still think we are in 1995? All products should at least come with subtitles in other languages ( Spanish is also one of the most important in the world ) .
Many people want to buy the game because it is very good game but do not because you not want to put subtitles
I feel bad because we many foreigners like the game and you will lose a lot of sales by not wanting to put subtitles in more languages. Rockstar Games put subtitles on their games , Capcom with Resident Evil always puts captions (RE : Revelations and RE 6 come with voices in many languages) .
I bought the game when it came with subtitles and no thanks to you, thanks to Badland Games ( Spanish distributor ) , so I advise you to know that we live in the year 2013 , you have to think about consumers and spend a little money to can increase their sales .
I'd be very sorry that happened the same with Game of Thrones, remember that Spanish is spoken in :

With that said, you can't compare Telltale to companies like Take Two Interactive (which owns Rockstar Games) or Capcom. Those companies are large publishers with many divisions, billions of dollars in disposable income, and thousands of employees. Telltale is still a medium sized company, with only 125 employees (including non-game related employees such as those working on the website, legal matters, etc). As you pointed out (by mentioning that the Spanish translation was handled by Badland Games), Telltale has to rely on outside companies to do their translations (since they don't have the resources to do so themselves).
Also note that since Telltale works on their games right up until a week or two before release (as is their common practice with their episodic games), getting the translations done are a bit trickier since some parts of the script might change right before release. In that case, it would be hard to do one in the time allotted (two weeks is not a lot of time to do a script translation for a game with as much dialog as a Telltale release) and if they did the translation before the changes, there's the possibility to have subtitles that don't match the script.

Well that explains why all Telltale games are plenty of bugs. A week or two it's not enough to test a game, I don't understand why they are such on a hurry. Also they don't need to hire an entire company to just make a translation. A single freelance translator is able to do the work very well on his own for not much of a price. You can ask me if you want a direct translator to spanish (native) with university degree and already a fan of TWD franchise lol. I'm sure he could do the job in a month or less.

@Jennifer Ok, I understand what you say, I just want to convey my opinion and thoughts of a lot of people who do not know English very well.
I hope the second season is better than the first season, and obviously has subtitles in Spanish.
