The Walking Dead:400 Days Steam Activation Error

Hello, I just purchased the 400 Days expansion for the Walking Dead yesterday from Gamefly and they directed me to you. I already own a copy of the game, but it's the physical version and the DLC is Steamworked (the very reason I bought thew physical copy is I hate Steam with a passion, have no internet access at home and don't like not being able to install or uninstall my games whenever I want). I tried to activate the DLC through Steam and got a lovely "You don't have The Walking Dead so please buy it from us" message. Nowhere did Gamefly tell me I needed to have a nonphysical copy of the game to play the DLC. I bought the physical game about a week after it came out (and powered through it in about a day; loved it right up till the ending but I suspect Season 2 will somewhat redeem the iron clad ending of the first game). However, the only way I've seen 400 Days as a physical copy is through the GOTY edition of the game and I really don't want to spend another $30 US on it. Is there a way I can get you to send me a physical copy of just 400 Days or somehow allow me to activate the base game in Steam (BS like this is why I hate this service to begin with but I digress). I don't recall the game having a CD key (the lack of the developer treating me like a pirate was extremely refreshing, by the way), so I'm not sure how I'd go about doing this. I have a laptop I can take to hotspots so I CAN use Steam (much though I hate it); if you can help me work through this I'd really appreciate it.
