Maybe you should've researched what the game was about before buying it. Not trying to be rude, but sometimes that can save you some bucks. To be fair though, I am fairly certain that almost every bit of coverage has mentioned what the premise of the story is and how it is based upon a comic book.
Yeah I knew this game was about fairy tale before I bought this. But i didn't read Fable comics and i thought the fairy tale was just half part of the game. When I found out whole game was about fairy tales, I was disappointed. Well, I should have researched more or waited till i knew better.

I don't mean to be rude, but...do you ever buy a book/film etc without checking it out properly first? You don't order food you have never tried in a restaurant (generally) and if you do, you don't whinge about it if you don't like it.... I know I certainly don't. If you have gone into something 'blind' and found out you don't like it, then unfortunately that is your issue. Put it down to a lesson learned...

I'm not sure people would do research before they go to see Avengers. Did every audience know about Thor and Captain America before they see Avengers?
I bought this game on steam, and I didn't want to buy fable comics for a game I hadn't even played yet, I've seen all trailers and pictures and read all the commentary steam provided, isn't that enough? Do i have to STUDY before I buy a game?
and many people order new food without thinking and if it is not so good, they complain about it. yeah, it's their fault, but they can complain. Who the hell study about the restaurant menu before they order new food?

Mate, I've been in hotel and restaurant manager for over 15 years, very very rarely do people order something they have never tried, they save that for times when they are at home etc, there are exceptions to this, but it is rare...ultimately people are creatures of habit and go for what they know and like.
Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and so on, were all pretty much cultural figures, people know what they are getting with a superhero movie. The fact is, it is one thing to be disappointed in something for it not being up to your expectations, it is completely another to criticise something that you actually had little frame of reference on in the first place.

The way I see it is that you are complaining because the story wasn't what you wanted. This makes little to no sense. That is pretty much like buying Assassin's Creed and wanting it to be like Counter-Strike.
The store page clearly says that it is about the comic book Fables you play as The Big Bad Wolf. If that wasn't enough for you basic logic would of told you to seek out what Fables is about.
I bought the game with no prior knowledge of Fables. So no you don't need to "study" what fables is. Media coverage and trailers will tell you enough. Unless you live under a rock you know who IGN, Kotaku, GT and Gamespot are.
If the is a game that I am not really sure about I research it do death finding official reviews and reviews by small time youtubers so I get a real idea if I'm parting with money that I won't regret.
But your complaint isn't valid at all. You basically wanted what sounds like a cheesy comedy horror. I use the word horror very loosely by the way.
I don't think TellTale would go for something that weak. That isn't them at all or what they have become.
I can't really blame you TC. I know I've taken a chance on games I knew nothing about before and ended up disappointed.
Nowadays, though, I search up let's plays of games I'm considering and watch an episode or two just to see how someone else engages with the game, and by extension if I'd enjoy it. I actually bought TWAU after watching the first episode of Cryaotic's let's play on youtube.
I find video reviews and such tend to tell more than show when it comes to games I'm interested in, so I don't tend to enjoy watching them and come away with a mostly theoretical view of what the game is like.
But let's plays let you see how the game is really played and how the player reacts to the choices they face, giving you a much more practical idea of whether or not you'd like it... And if you can find talented let's players like pewdiepie, seananners, northernlion and cryaotic, even just watching them play the game can be entertaining in itself, which can make even the act of researching games you might like to play a fun experience.
What is the purpose of this entire post? Complaining about buying a game that you didn't know about is entirely your fault. You took the risk of buying it blindly. You went into something you didn't know anything about and found out you didn't like it because it wasn't what you expected. Why wasn't it what you expected? You didn't look into what it was about. I'm not trying to be mean or chastise you, but even if you bought it without any knowledge of what it was, wouldn't you have some idea it was about fairy tales considering the title is (If they had an option to underscore something I would use it here) "Fables"? Fables are essentially fairy tales.

I, too, actually bought the game without knowing anything at all about it except that it was made by TellTale and would feature similar gameplay to their Walking Dead game and that was enough to convince me to try it. I wasn't disappointed by it, however--quite the opposite, in fact, I absolutely loved The Wolf Among Us and I can't wait for more.

Same here, I knew nothing about fables prior to buying it, only bought it because my friend said it was good (and I had loved TWD season 1). It pulled me right in, I loved the first episode.

To each their own. I know plenty of people dislike him.
What I like about him is his emotiveness. I recently watched his TWD S2E1 let's play, and had a lot of fun watching him squirm during the tough choices. I'd also say he's among the best at video editing out of the let's players I've seen.
Seananners is my undisputed favourite though. His Hidden and Prop Hunt series are the only let's plays I've ever watched multiple times, probably due to his own excellent editing skills and infectious good humour.
Edit: And I like northernlion a lot for his intelligence and ability to keep a strong running commentary... Not to mention his occasionally awkward references.
That guy's laugh is enough to bring a smile to my face. The fact that he does it every three seconds is awesome. Though Northernlion more accurately portrays how actually playing the game is.

You bought this on steam? You already bought all of the episodes then. Also the description of the game tells you it's about fairytales and playing as the Big Bad Wolf

I was thinking the same thing, until I remembered this:
