No season one saves being found mac.

I posted this in another topic but my plight was outright ignored. I'm attempting to play season 2 on my macbook pro, the same that I played season 1 on, however whenever I go to start a new game, it says no season 1 saves are found. I had issues in season 1 with my choices being brought over episode to episode, and for whatever reason whenever I play season 1 it tells me to start at episode one, even though when I try another episode it has all of my choices up until that point. I'm wondering if perhaps my computer is not saving fully finished episodes?
