Unable to find a save - Season 2
I just bough the Season 2 pass on PS3. After the "IMPORT SEASON 1 SAVE" screen I get the following error:
UNABLE TO FIND A SAVE
The game was unable to find a Season 1 save file on this system with completed episodes. To play Season 2, Season 1 choices will be randomly generated for you to begin your story.
I have all Season 1 episodes plus 400 Days, with 3 different save games (I'm in Europe, in case it makes any difference). After getting the error I checked and the 3 saved games are shown properly in Season 1 (stats are shown for every episode).
Is there a workaround?

I have the same problem. Do you have walking dead season 1 saves on your ps3 system or on psn cloud?

Same problem here, in Europe. I just bought the season pass, and the game cannot find my save data from season 1, even though I played the 5 chapters. Any advice ?

Same problem for me - again, Europe (UK), all five episodes and 400 Days completed on my PS3, save files not in the cloud or anything and every time I get the same message - "Unable to find save file."
Immensely frustrating, and it really needs to be addressed.

I have the exact same problem! Also in EU, PS3, 3 saves, completed it all including 400 days, but season 2 can't find the saves...

Same problem here...I'm from Europe as well and finished every Episode from Season 1 including 400days. The Save file on my PS3 is working fine with Season 1...I will not start Season 2 without my Save files from Season 1. Please fix this as soon as possible
Sony has just released The Walking Dead Season 2 patch live for customers in Europe. This patch will allow all users to import Season 1 saves into Season 2. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Hey Telltale, I've got the same problem but I am in Australia. I've already received the 1.01 patch but I'm not sure if that was the one designed to fix the save-file issue. Could you please help?

I am NOT in Europe, but in the USA and my newly downloaded/installed TWD Season 2 cannot seem to find the "save" files from Season 1. Looking forward to being able to play this game!

@TelltaleMike - I just bought the Season Pass for the Second season. The game is patched and the savegames for season 1 are done. I don't have the Season 1 in downloaded version, only from disc. It is the both the EU release. I just get the unable to find save games, and an option to continue with random events, or buy season 1. I'm wondering if there is an issue with the disc vs. downloaded versions ?
If you are playing on PS3 and have one on disc, and the other through digital download, the game saves should still be able to be read. Are you sure the disc or digital download are not from different regions? (US vs. EU) As this may cause your saves to be incompatible.
I bought the season one disc in a store in Norway, and the season pass for second season on PSN. Should be the same region as my PSN is a EU one. I just reinstalled the season two game from PSN (with the patch 1.01) and still the same issue. Have you got any reports on people beeing unable to load saves after the patch ? Seems like many of the forum theads on the topic stop around the patch release. I can also verify that the season one save games are played as well.
I will investigate more tomorrow. I have a feeling that either for some reason i have incompatible versions, or that the season 1 disc install may be screwed. May try to reinstall that one as well, and see if that is an issue.
Do you know if I would be able to use the season 1 disc saves if I clear the game from the PS3, and buy a digital version of the season 1 game from PSN? In case there is an issue witht he disc vs downloaded version..

I believe if you back up your Season One save data onto an external storage device, and uninstall Season One, that would be the safest way to do that. If you install the digital version of Season One, as long as your saves are unchanged, they will be able to be read. I am interested to hear your findings, if you decide to go this route, and apologies for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
