Season 1 Episode 2 Blackscreen~

Hey everyone,

I decided to replay Season 1 again before starting Season 2 and now this happens.
I played through Episode 1 just fine but whenever I want to start Episode 2 it asks me if I want to rewind (there is nothing to rewind, mind you) and wether I click yes or no, I get a blackscreen with the cursor still there. Skipping Episode 2 doesn't work either because I get the same question and blackscreen for every Episode except for 1.
Any idea what to do? The game worked fine when I played it for the first time a few months ago (I had issues with my savegames but it at least worked...).

  • I think there was a blackscreen bug for season 1 connected to corrupted save games. Probably this discussion can help you. But BEFORE you do anything please make a backup of your whole save game folder. No guarantee that it doesn't get worse than it already is.

    That's a very bad old workaround that actually breaks the savegame system.

    Savegame issues need an individual solution.

    Please follow the instructions to run the TWD Support Tool and post the download link to the resulting "TWD_support_data_pc.zip" or "TWD_support_data_mac.zip" to your next reply in this thread.

    It looks like you didn't let the tool run until it's done. Please try again and let it run until it writes FINISHED at the bottom.
