Save file - changed iTunes Store

I recently moved to the US from Canada, so I had to change my iTunes store on my iPad 2. I purchased Season 1 in Canada, but the app doesn't show up in my "Purchased" tab in the iTunes. This is fine, as I can still play it, and I can still re-download it if I ever need to without having to pay again. Same with all my other Canadian-bought apps.

Problem is, I bought S1 in Canada, but S2 in the US...and S2 can't locate my S1 save files. I'm assuming this is because I switched app stores? Could that be the cause?

If I deleted S1 and redownloaded it, I'm assuming it would show up as purchased in the (US) app store...but would I lose my save files? Do you have a workaround for this, or should I contact Apple?

  • nvm, I got it working. Looks like I had to just open up S1 and choose a save file, then exit the game before hitting Play.

    There are game updates that come from starting Season 1. There's also an appstore update to the Season 1 app that is needed for the saves to be read. Thanks for you post and letting us know what worked to get you back.
