I really don't want to buy the game from the Website. I want to buy it on Steam.

I seriously hated TWD version from the Telltale Website. It was slow, corrupted and it took me forever to download episodes. For example, I only just played the DLC yesterday. Yesterday. Anyway, I want to buy it on Steam instead, but the problem is that I need the game data in order to play Season 2 (I hear) Does that mean I have to buy the game from the website, or is there any way for me to take the game data over to the Steam Version.
I'd appreciate a clear answer please, thank you.

    You just have to have season one on your computer, regardless of where you bought it, in order for the game data to carry over. One being from telltale's website and one being from steam shouldn't be a problem.
