I think I'm just gonna get Guitar Hero 4. Or mooch off a friend who gets either one. That's also a possibility.

Well, I have RB on my Wii already(I don't own a PS360) and my brother owns every guitar hero so far on PS2, so I'm gonna be getting both. I'm not sure which one is gonna be better.

I'd much rather play Lips to be honest. Oh, and perhaps a cheap Eyetoy knock-off while I'm there. Then I'll create a Mii - ...I mean avatar - and use it in my community channel.
    Good Microsoft E3, eh? ;)
  • OMG! I LOVE the Pinball wizard! Its my favorite Who song ever! This is great!

to tell the truth, that's the only song I can relate to on this friggin thing.

They've got a pretty good mix there. Always good to see more Rush and Tenacious D tracks, too.

But seriously, "Shooting Star" by Bad Company? I'm not saying the band shouldn't have a song in the game, but that particular song sounds much more like country than rock.

meh, I guess they're opening up to more players of diffrent genres. Still, They've got a few songs on this Rock Band which ppl complain isn't real rock...

GRR! You beat me to posting the list.

Any-uh-ways, I was pretty excited about Everlong. It's one of the greatest songs of all time.

the Journey song is pretty sweet as well.

    So is Ace of Spades.

    And AC/DC.

    And pretty much everything else.

Wish I could see some Dio in there, though.

And Paradise City would be SICK!!! (Guns 'n' Roses)

Okay I'm done spacing out my sentences now.

    I promise.

    Okay, now I mean it.

you are completely right, but avatars/miis have been around longer than both the wii and 360 (in a similar form)

I hope they'll get some Limozeen in the bonus songs or DLC.
  • edited July 2008
Limozeen would actually be really awesome.

I'm pretty much completely dissappointed with Nintendo because the only good thing at their press conference was MotionPlus. It was embarrassing watching those people trying to play Wii Music. They looked like idiots.

Yes, but they were never really integrated into one of the major consoles in the same way the Wii did it.
  • edited July 2008
It would also be awesome if there were some kind of Strong Bad song, like a version of the Strong Bad Techno, but with all the instruments playing Strong Bad's voice like in the email Guitar.
  • edited July 2008
actually, in Guitar Hero 2 there is the long version of Trogdor. It was pretty fun to play.

Rock Band 2 will be released in September for the 360, October for the PS3, and November for the Wii. My question is: why?

ps3 takes longer to develop (apparently) and wii version is different i believe

I read that Microsoft finagled some sort of short-term exclusivity arrangement. Not sure how they arranged it, but it means that PS3 and Wii fans have to wait a bit longer. I don't mind waiting a month or two, personally.
  • edited July 2008
I just hope it means that us Wii owners don't get screwed over like with RB1

We probably will, but I don't care anymore... I've got Hendrix!

  • edited July 2008
Still, Tool would be pretty sick.
  • edited July 2008
    indeed.
  • edited July 2008
Indeed, Sting has a talent for writing catchy lyrics, but his bass playing was never really praiseworthy. Seems a bit fishy.

That said, I'd be thrilled if they had a Maná song in there. Clavado en un Bar would be good, but I think Como un Perro Enloquecido would be a better fit.

Does this mean no Smells Like Teen Spirit?
And also that I don't get to point out that Sting didn't/doesn't play guitar?

Well that doesn't mean that all of those tracks won't be on GH4, but the list was proven fake by the publishers.
