TWD season 2--unable to start program; missing dll

I downloaded the product, attempted to install and got an error message about missing a dll file. Uninstalled and tried again. Same message. Deleted and re-downloaded the program. Tried the compatibility fixes with no success. Tried running as an administrator, no joy.

Here's the link to the support file http://www.sendspace.com/file/hnqjt8\

    P1: WalkingDead2.exe
    P4: d3dx9_41.dll

    Please run the DirectX updater.

If that doesn't fix it, please post your dxdiag info as described below. It failed to create that file during the support tool run.

    dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
Windows 8: At the start screen, type in "dxdiag" and hit enter

Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it, and upload it to an instant filehoster and post the download link.

  • Ok...I'm no longer getting the missing dll notice, but the game still won't start. I have it set for the windows ME compatibility and running as administrator and the screen turns white and then freezes the system. with the spinning wheel of doom. I don't think you need it but here's the dxdiag file just in case http://www.sendspace.com/file/kls0nk

Please disable compatibility mode and run as admin as it could hide the underlying problem.

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G
    Dedicated Memory: 243 MB
    Driver Date/Size: 7/23/2009 20:01:00, 7627776 bytes

There is a chance that it crashes because your graphics chip doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

Nevertheless I suggest you try installing the latest nvidia driver.

If it still crashes afterwards, please run the support tool again, so I can see the current state.
