Walking Dead Season 1 Files not being found in both Season 1 and Season 2

I was attempting to get Season 2 to find my Season 1 save files, however I believe I have messed up and now my Season 1 files cannot be found when I launch season 1. Is there any way I can get both Season 1 and Season 2 to find these save files? I have them on my computer, however the games cannot find them. I have downloaded both of these games (along with 400 days) through steam and I can upload my save files if I must to help solve this. I also use compatibility mode for the original Walking Dead (Windows 98/me). Here is my support tool if this helps at all. http://www.sendspace.com/file/1h2d46

    First we need to try to recover your savegames. The prefs.prop is too small to be valid for a complete playthrough, so something must have happened to it.

    Ideally you would have a backup with a prefs.prop of at least 50-60KB. If you don't have that, we can try to recover it, but the chances are slim.

    Since you are playing in Win98/ME compatibility mode, the savegame folder is located at
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead

    Please try the "restore previous version" feature (right click, "properties", "restore previous version") on the prefs.prop in the savegame folder ( C:\Users\Public\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead ). If there are multiple versions try restoring each of them starting with the latest. If the prefs.prop is much bigger than 10KB chances are best it's the correct one.

    There are also prefs.prop files in other locations, but they are all too small either. Please try the same on them.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead\Pack\default
    C:\Users\Cody\Documents\telltale games\the walking dead
    C:\Users\Cody\Desktop\The Walking Dead
    C:\Users\Cody\Desktop\Saves\The Walking Dead
    C:\Users\Cody\Desktop\afsd\the walking dead

    Once you have a prefs.prop that's big enough and belongs to the same playthrough, copy it to
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead

    Then rename the prefs.prop in
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead\Pack\default
    to prefs.prop.bak to deactivate it and try if season 1 finds the saves.
