Season 2 mouse lag

I played all the way through season 1 and 400 days without any issues whatsoever. But last night I started season 2 and the mouse lags so much that any kind of action sequences are made incredibly difficult. I tried lowering screen resolution (my native resolution is 1920x1080) to see if that would help but no luck. If it makes any difference I bought the games from Steam.

My specs:

Mythlogic nyx1712 (clevo p170em) laptop

CPU: Intel Core i7-3740QM 2.7GHz, 6M L3 Cache, 22nm, DDR3-1600MHz, Quad-Core Mobile Processor

System Memory: 16GB (2 x 8GB) , PC3-12800, 1600MHz SODIMM

Video Adapter: NVIDIA 670MX 3072MB GDDR5 DX11 Compliant Video Card

OS: Windows 7 Pro

Mouse is a Logitech G700 gaming laser mouse. Tried it both wired and wireless and it makes no difference. Changing the DPI setting to a higher setting seems to help slightly but it still lags.

Any idea what I can do here to help or is this an issue that needs to be patched?

    That's very weird with such a good system.

    Just to see if it has any influence:
    Have you also tried lowering "Texture quality" and disabling "Antialiasing"?
    You can also try loading the default 3D settings in the nvidia control panel, to make sure nothing is forced.
    Does it make a difference if you use the touchpad?
