Did you make sure to disable the prefs.prop from /packs/default/ by changing it to prefs.prop.bak? This is important to disable it, or it will still be seen by the game. I don't know if people are still talking in this discussion but I need some help. I have the same problem, I have finished episode 3 and whe… moren I go on episode 4 it goes all black and all I can see is the mouse. I have moved the prefs.prop to my desktop. (I dragged it from the packs/default) but I still have the black screen. I have a mac too. Please help I really love the walking dead and I don't want it to be ruined.
I'm having the same problem with my Steam Mac version. I'm not sure the tool has run properly (lots of "permission denied" messages) - if not, please let me know what permissions I need to change to ensure the tool generates valid data.
After looking over your Support Tool information, it seems that your computer is running below the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Where we require a minimum of 512mb of dedicated memory, your computer is currently running at 256mb of dedicated memory. Your computer uses an integrated Intel graphics card, which we do not recommend using for our game, as they tend to run under minimum specs. I recommend either trying to update your current graphics card's drivers to the latest version, and see if you are able to play, or try playing the game on a computer above minimum system requirements if you have the ability to.
You can also try changing the game's resolution and graphics settings to a lower setting, and then continue the episode, and see if your issue is resolved.

to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, then restart the game, and your save files will be restored.
i have the episode 4-5 bug where all my decisions are gone when i transition to 5th episode. file:///C:/Users/Amber/support_tool/TWD_support_data_pc.zip not sure if this is what you need....
