Episode 2 won't "Finish"

I'm having trouble continuing on to episode 3. The game will not recognize when I finish episode 2 and won't save the progress. For instance, I load my save and I get brought to the final scene, with the car. I'll finish up, credits roll, but when I'm brought back to the main menu it won't recognize that I did anything and the save instead reloads to that scene again. If I try to just go to episode 3, it tells me it will generate random decisions for unplayed episodes! How do I get the game to recognize when I complete the episode?

    Please rename the prefs.prop in
    /Users/Thomas/Library/Application Support/Telltale Games/TheWalkingDead
    to prefs.prop.bak to deactivate it.

    Then move the prefs.prop from
    /Users/Thomas/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/The Walking Dead/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/WalkingDead102/
    to
    /Users/Thomas/Library/Application Support/Telltale Games/TheWalkingDead

    You can navigate to the folders by starting Finder, and selecting "Go/Go to Folder..." from the menu or pressing CMD-SHIFT-G, and pasting the path into it.
