Yeah, I loved Destroy all humans 1, but I didn't like 2.Too much saving humans, not enough destroying humans.Plus it wasn't as funny in my opinion.

10. Psychonauts (PS2)
I love the art style, the storytelling, and overall feel. Sure, the controls weren't the best, but it didn't bother me. I don't actually suggest getting the PS2 version. The Xbox (or if you have a gaming computer, the PC) versions are better in the graphics and functionality department.
9. Sam & Max: Hit the Road (PC)
While Full Throttle was my first and made me appreciate Point-and-Click Adventure games, Sam & Max was the first one which I fully enjoyed from start to finish. With its' quirky humor and likable heroes, it's hard not to like this game. The weird answers to puzzles really grabbed and forced me to be imaginative. The story is okay, but I feel this game is all about the characters. Seeing the types of people you encounter, having to control an anthropomorphic dog and rabbit with New York accents doesn't feel all too awkward...
8. Grim Fandango (PC)
S&M to this. This humor is at a different caliber. The music, characters, subject matter, and film noir influence wraps up in an engaging little package called Grim Fandango. It will probably be my top favorite adventure game for a long time, if not forever.
7. Resident Evil 2 (PS)
The best Resident Evil... ever. Mutant monster/zombie killing action, plain and simple! Having to play 4 different scenarios and having them influence each other in little ways was fun. Although it isn't as corny as Resident Evil 1, it does have it's quotable moments. The only Resident Evil that may have beaten RE2 would have been RE 1.2. *sigh*
6. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (SG)
You can never forget your first (and "first" as in first Sonic the Hedgehog and Genesis game). Luckily, my first was an all-round great game in the first place. It's one of the best in the Genesis era with its catchy tunes and easy game play. Oh, when did such great games like this one became out of style...?
5. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2)
I enjoyed this game because of the characters. I will say I did enjoy Jak 2 and 3 and their equally funny dialog, Jak and Daxter was simple. I love simplicity when dealing with action/adventure, platformer games. But to set it apart from other of its genre (other than having good controls and rich colors), was Daxter. It's hard to pull off a character like that without making that said character downright annoying (characters from other games which did it well are Max from Sam & Max, Gex from the Gex series, and Sam from Evil Dead: Regeneration).
4. Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)
I fell in love with ICO when I finally got to play it a year after its release. I was saddened that it didn't sell well and that might be a good reason why Sony wouldn't make another game of this kind. Then this happened. I knew it can never replace ICO's #1 of "Games of All Time" for me, but I did know it would definitely be in my Top 10, even before knowing remotely anything other than its' title. If you are catching any trend of my Top Favorite Games, it's that graphics isn't a major factor. I say the graphics are great seeing that there are virtually no loading screens anywhere other than saving and loading save files. Heck, I rarely got lagging. I don't know or understand how they did it, but that is a great feat for a platform game, much less the PS2. But enough about the game design. I loved the fact that it had a basic story (I'm tired of games trying to be so-called "intellectual" and "deep" by having tenuously long stories). Yet, having to use your horse all the time and always ending up back at the temple after defeating some magnificent colossus, it fills the "gap" of unsaid relationships. You need (and take for granted) Agro and desperately love Momo. Other than what I just outlined, taking down creatures hundreds of times larger than you is just plain cool.
3. Megaman Legends (PS)
Megaman Legends, let me count the ways I love thee... People complain complain about it's graphics, controls, and how it "isn't" a Megaman game. All I have to say is the graphics are fine, just switch to Type B (nicknamed the "Resident Evil controls") in the Options menus, and "So? What's your point?". Seeing that Megaman currently has 6 spin-offs (or more?), I guess the first one that was drastically different from the original series had to be scoffed at. It's sad really since the main characters AND villains are lovable. And unlike the X series (and later spin-offs, except for probably the Zero series), it really seems that Capcom had an actual concrete storyline planned. It's such a shame. Anyways, the ability to customize MegaMan's weapons was good (but a bit time consuming if wanting to max out your favorite weapon) and the ruin "excavations" was pretty fun. The music still stays with me, especially The Bonnes Vs The Flutter, Apple Market, The Flutter, and the Main Gate theme.
2. Megaman Legends 2 (PS)
Other than the bad move on changing MegaMan's voice (reverse puberty, in this case), it improved on the first game on almost every single way. There's nothing more to say...
1. ICO (PS2)
My ultimate favorite videogame of all time is this underrated game. Not quite a puzzle game, not quite a platformer, not quite an adventure game. I'm not sure what to caterize this game other than "awesome." It's short and sweet. Not cluttered with a heavy story or painfully difficult combat. You basically use three buttons tops (minus the directional buttons, of course) : the "call/hold hands/grab", the "jump", and the "attack" buttons. Keep close to Yorda (the ghostly/angelic princess) and try to escape the castle with her. This isn't some superficial escort mission. You have to actually take Yorda by hand and pull her to safety or else she'll wind up carried off and dragged into black holes. This game also features the perfect bittersweet ending. The game almost gives off a fable/fairy tale-like feel without directly presenting itself as such. On top of all that, the use of light and shadow (and overall art direction) is wonderfully executed. Needless to say, this game isn't for the heartless.
Honorable mentions go to Gunstar Heroes (SG), Mr Driller 2 (GBA), Disaster Report (PS2), Ecco the Dolphin (SG), and Dark Cloud 2 (PS2).

As anyone can probably tell, I love RPGs. Without a doubt, the RPG genre is my favorite due to reasons I never really found out. I just borrowed a friend's copy of Breath of Fire II one day and got hooked on the genre.

I suggest you try Super Mario RPG.One of the best games ever, man.Three cameos,(Can you find Samus or Link?) hidden bosses, (Culex, Jinx,etc.) Great music, (Beware The Forest Mushrooms.)good plot, and awesome characters.(Geno, FTW.)
2: Loom - Pc - Prefer the disk version, the talkie version while good cut out too much stuff. It's just a stunning game with that feeling of a vast world of which you only catch a glimpse. Also, first time I played it bits made me cry, that's a powerful game man. lol.
3: Silent Hill 2 - Ps2 - Psychological survival horror, what more could you want? this game honestly scared the crap out of me.
4: Sanitarium - PC - Because it's seriously messed up and the end game is a wonderful logic puzzle.
5: Grim Fandango - PC
6: Monkey Island 1 & 2 - PC - Classics man! CLASSICS!
7: Bust a groove - PS - Because I LOVE it ok. It's an addictive dance game/beat em up with actually rather good original music rather than the crappy remixed popular tunes used in most modern dance games.
8: Baldur's gate 2 - I spent years of my life on this bloody game, it's addictive and some of the quests are engaging and wonderfully thought out (I especially liked the creature that fed on despair)
Ok so I hated Imoen and hoped she'd just die but the other npcs were great fun, the interaction between them made the game really.
9: Zork - pc - Let's face it, Zork is a classic of the genre. It's weird, it's witty, it's just plain awesome. Grue ftw

Some odd ones in there I guess. Hotel Dusk would be somewhere near there, as would Full Throttle, Indy and the Fate of Atlantis & The Dig (Yeah, I liked The Dig :P ). I've spent a lot of time playing Guitar Hero, but don't see it as one of the best games ever - it's just a lot of fun.
Other stuff like Beyond Good and Evil, Fable, Sam and Max Season 1 & 2, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart etc all deserve to be in a list too - but I guess further down than a top 10.
These are basically the games that have drawn me in the most - the ones that have had me immersed. I had to save those stupid lemmings, just as I needed to see what was going to happen to Phoenix, or Shepard, or Guybrush.
