Can't start any episodes - Black screen with cursor.

I have completed the game once and the DLC 400 Days, but when I went to start a new game it asks me if I want to rewind to that checkpoint and reminds me that any progress made since then will be deleted.

I'm trying to start a completely new save file so it shouldn't even ask me that.

But whether I click yes or no, the window goes away and I am left with a black screen and a movable cursor until the end of time.

Any solutions available? This happens regardless of which episode I pick.

    I am not sure if you are just trying to play in another save slot, or if you deleted all save slots to start over?

    Please disable steam cloud for TWD (In Steam, right click TWD and select "properties". Open the tab "updates" and remove the checkbox from "Enable Steam cloud synchronization for TWD).

    Then please rename the prefs.prop in
    C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
    to prefs.prop.bak to deactivate it.

    Then move the prefs.prop from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead\Pack\default
    to
    C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead

    If that doesn't give you the expected result, you have to exchange the prefs.prop.bak and the prefs.prop in
    C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead

    If you want to remove all progress, delete the entire savegame folder.
