Click to Continue and Save Issues

Hi. I bought the second season a while back but have been unable to play for several reasons.

Here is my data: http://www.sendspace.com/file/81b26t

There are three major problems I am having.

1) My save file from season 1 including the 400 days DLC cannot be read. In fact, I have tried moving the save files to various places on the computer with no luck, even copying it to another slot or picking a random episode in the dlc and generating random choices. Season 2 will not pull any saves whatsoever.

2) Despite this issue, I tried to play with just random choices for a while. Which was okay until I got to the part where Christa is attacked and Clem has to run. I died and on the "Click to Continue" screen the game froze up and would not allow me to continue, despite changing graphic quality, etc, and I waited a long time before giving up and quitting.

3) After this last issue, I did try to go back into the game and what do you know all that progress didn't even save! I thought it would just autosave as usual in season one when the saving icon appears on the top corner but nothing was saved :( I repeated playing it, died in the same spot and had the exact same issue and once again the game did NOT save anything!

So now I am very frustrated and hoping someone can help. On the pulling last season's save files I should note that i originally began to play on a different computer which I read can cause issues but like I said, even starting a file on this computer and allowing it to get to a save point didn't work. It just always says "unable to import save" or whatever.

Any help would be appreciated! If I have to replay season 1 to import the choices so be it but I don't want to do all that and then find that it STILL will not import the files. I've already bought the whole season so I hope I do get to enjoy it.......

    1) 3) TWD S2 doesn't work properly, because your documents folder is on a network drive. If you don't want to move it, you can create a new windows user account to play there.

    2)

Card name: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
    Dedicated Memory: 64 MB
    Driver Date/Size: 2/11/2011 18:09:48, 571904 bytes

Your graphics chip doesn't meet the minimum requirements, which can cause the other issues.

  • Okay that is helpful! So is it possible for me to move it somewhere for it to work or the only way will be to create a new user account and install both seasons on there?

As for the graphics hm I guess that could be causing the issue when I try to continue? Bummer. Season 1 worked fine and season 2 plays fine until that point, doesn't run slow at all.

Sure, you can also just move it back to any local drive.

  • Just wanted to post for the record I tried pretty much everything - moving the files all around and nothing so I resorted back to my old laptop (this one's my sister's and as we've established is on a network). My old one has no wifi or sound but i managed to plug into the ethernet and then just use an hdmi cable to hook it up to the tv. It had no problem grabbing the saves thankfully.
