TWD S2 E1 Xbox 360 no save file or save option/death screen freeze
Im really upset that i bought this game and i cant play it. i get no option to pick a save location and going 3 hours in where clem is attacked by the walker in the shed i die, it freezes at the death screen and i have to quit only to see that it never saved to begin with thinking it just went to my HDD. what gives? is there a solution? why did get a game thats broken and non-playable? if it doesn't work i want a refund so i can at least try my luck with steam.

along with the fact that my S1/400 days stuff never imported.
I apologize for the inconvenience. It sounds like you are playing in trial/demo mode. This is an issue that is known, and we are currently looking into. If your game does not seem to be saving at all, please read over this thread where a couple of users may have found a workaround for the time being to make the game save correctly:

I apologize for any inconvenience as we look further into the issue, and hope to have a fix released in the near future.
the method didnt work for me and the same trial demo error happened to my wolf among us game too unfortunately
Can you please clarify if when downloading it from the Xbox Marketplace, that you downloaded the Full Game file and not the Demo/Trial Mode file? If you downloaded the Demo/Trial instead of the Full Game, you would not be able to save. Please make sure that you have downloaded the Full Game from the Marketplace.
it is the full game. i unlocked 5/7 achievements before it crashed and realized it never saved.
Did you possibly purchase the game on another account or another console? If so, you may need to transfer the license to your new console. To do this please follow the steps in this thread on how to transfer licenses to a new console:

Please make sure to read the steps under the 'License Transfers - New Consoles' section.
I have this EXACT same problem. Played up to the shed and died only for the reload screen to glitch on me. Went to reboot the game and all my data is gone.
I've been unlocking achievements and during load scenes I'd get the "saving" notification, so I'm pretty upset about this as I was enjoying up to that point. The prospect of starting again though, questioning if its doing its job is not fun.
Please fix this bug so I can return to the game.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Are you playing on a different console than you purchased the game on? Are you playing using the same account that you purchased the game with? You may need to transfer the license to your new console. To do this please follow the steps in this thread on how to transfer licenses to a new console:

Please make sure to read the steps under the 'License Transfers - New Consoles' section.
Please also make sure that you are playing the full game, and you are not playing the game in demo/trial mode. You can do this by going to the Xbox Marketplace and going to the game's page and make sure that you are downloading the full game and not the demo/trial version.
I was on my console and my account that it was purchased on and connected to Xbox Live. Obviously I was in the full game, as I was getting achievements.
As much as I appreciate the response, it's troubleshooting 101. It's a problem with the game and it needs fixed. My game is gone so I need to replay it, that sucks but I will deal with it. However I can't do it again until I know it's been patched.
