Season 1 save has vanished

So, got WD season 2 installed on iOS7 / ipad. I've also got WD season 1 installed (I have never uninstalled this app) having just completed 400 days.

I've removed the previous episodes (2 - 5) as I was told you don't need to have the eps installed - just the app. Is that actually correct because season 2 just attempted to find my season 1 save and it failed. So, when I completed season 5, I removed the ep installation (I did not delete the save game). Then I went straight into 400 days. The 400 days save game is visible in season one.

Has the save game for season one been removed with ep 5 being uninstalled?

Thought the save game would be independent from ep installs.

Gutted.

    I just experienced the same exact problem. In my season 1 app all that shows is 400 days and season 2 cannot find a season 1 save file. I never uninstalled the app or deleted the files. What's the problem?
