Anything but calm? I won't even amuse that statement with an answer, because it seems you are very 'calm' with a lot of people on this site. It doesn't matter if she was giving him a demonstration, she could have still had her top on.

Why is that worrying? Sorry I don't live under a rock. That's your opinion. The scene was needed to set up the characters of Georgie and Na

  • My dream is for Tell Tale to make A Nightmare on Elm street game where you try to keep your friends alive . Could play as one of the characters from the Movie's like Nancy , or Alice or a new teenager who moves into the house on 1428 Elm St. I think that game would fly off the shelves . And could get Robert Englund to do the voice like he did for the Gottlieb Pin Ball Machine , Not the Jackie Earl Trash version.

Awesome!!!!!!!! The Princess bride rules. Ooooooooooo wouldn't that make a great telltale episodic game.

  • I hate it when people don't know what they are talking about. Japan is not some fucked up country that shows porn to kids god dammit.

You make it sound like hentai is broadcast on tv along side sesame street or sold by some street vendor to anyone who wants it... that isn't the case.

  • Not to get in the middle of this argument but I have to agree with Prince_Charming here. If the writers thought the nudity was necessary, it was because this is the story they want to tell. The nudity made her look vulnerable in a way I dont think wearing a shirt would have. She looked like a little girl up there with her sad eyes and her cringing and uncertainty under Georgie's abuse and him forcing her to stay there and dont move. Nudity is the symbol of being open and vulnerable because you have nothing protecting you. I really think thats what they were going for, not "ooh boobies!"

  • Very good point.

This isn't exactly a novel observation, but I never get over how freaking weird it is that showing a woman's severed head is considered less "adult" than showing her breasts.

In my opinion, it's a remnant of Puritanism. The United States has never fully recovered from that period in our history. That's not say we're huge prudes, there's tons of gratuitous nudity in our media, which is not always a good thing (when it objectifies or degrades a person). However, there is more of a taboo on nudity, especially in forms of media which are meant to appeal to the general public.

As an American, I have no problem with it. Gratuitous nudity isn't really my thing (not that I thought TWAU's use of it was gratuitous, I didn't), but it doesn't make me stop watching a show and I believe it's the creators' right to show what they like. If someone doesn't like it, they don't have to watch. I love "Game of Thrones" and "True Blood and both have TONS of unnecessary nudity. I may roll my eyes a bit, but I also understand that it's a show for adults and it's HBO, so gratuitous nudity is very likely. I think if you want to understand America's reaction to nudity, you have to look to our history. We are still a very Christian nation with a puritanical history and because of that, many Americans try to shield the general public (including the elderly and children) from gratuitous nudity. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing (it becomes bad when censorship is involved), what I think is bad is the hypocrisy. We have a sex-addled entertainment industry, yet you'll hear complaints over very minor nudity, like in TWAU.

We should just keep things in perspective I think. Seeing breasts is not the same as watching hard-core pornography. The human body is not pornographic, it is a natural thing. Some people lose sight of that I think. I think the rating system is great because it allows people to know what they're getting into. It protects games like Grand Theft Auto from being banned by overprotective parents who allow their children to play violent games meant for adults. It's a great compromise, in my opinion.

Not like you're in the position to make a statement like that. Veiled mockery? Of course you're making this about you, like you always do in the countless fights you have on this site (I knew it was only a matter of time before I was caught up in one). She didn't need to be topless, it's as simple as that and while I know this is hard for you to hear, nothing you can say will change my mind or anyone else who agrees with me.

I guess we can agree to disagree, but I doubt that you are capable of even that. I can't believe I'm having an argument about a scene that barely registered with me when I played it. This is getting ridiculous, but you can't say no to a good back and forth, ey Charming!

lol, yeah you are out of points (not that you actually had any). Just continue with your veiled mockery Glinda. It DEFINITELY makes up for your lack of knowledge on the subject. No, she wouldn't have had her top on during a demonstration...

I honestly don't have many fights on here, but you can exaggerate all you like. I am flattered you have nothing better to do than stalk my post. ;)

Narissa did need to be topless and I have explained why. You simply didn't want to listen.
"Nothing you say will change my mind or anyone else who agrees with me." Wow, very mature. That attitude will get you sooo far in life! I especially love how you feel that you can speak for other people. Once again, you know nothing about the industry so stop speaking as if you do.

"I doubt you are capable of even that". lmao, see this is the "veiled mockery" I am talking about. You have no points to make, so instead you resort to projecting a false superiority.

Oh really? The scene "barely registered", but you feel the need to argue about it? I wish I had that much free time on my hands. If it "barely registered" then I completely understand why you think it didn't have a purpose. You're like a movie critic who doesn't pay attention to a film and then makes groundless critiques.

What's with this veiled mockery you keep bringing up? I've made no effort to conceal the fact that I think you're an utter prick. Every comment I've seen you post is an argument with something else. And since you seem to think I have so much time on my hands to be on this site my opinion must be valuable. Yeah, didn't think so.

False superiority? Jesus man wake up! This is a website, not an IQ test. Who are you to think that one of us is superior to the other over an argument. Get over yourself. IQ test aren't even in that factor, nothing is. I wouldn't be surprised if you beg to differ.

Oh and stalk your post? Let me say this again...get over yourself. You started this argument and you kept coming back to read my posts as well. You can't pull that one. And yes it barely registered, but it's beginning to become very memorable thanks to you.

Seriously people check Charming's profile. He is fighting with three other people right now. Do you have some creepy hobby or pleasure in thinking you are superior to other people? Get. Over. Yourself.

I love how you get offended by me calling you a stalker, then you proceed to admit that you are on my profile...looking at all my posts. Shoot yourself in the foot more please! How did a debate with one other user became three in your head? You can't debate or count. XD

  • I think seeing The Little Mermaid at a strip club, knowing she works there is a lot less strong of a point than seeing Georgie Porgie yelling at her to be sexier while she tries to dance mostly nude on a pole. I don't know, she'll be more like Beauty or Faith- you just don't feel it.

But... I don't need everything to make a point... I don't need to think of nudity's point anymore than I have to wonder why Blackbeard's extremely sexy ass is bald or that Crane looks so damn old, or that the Faith, instead of a more famous 'Fable', was the 'main' death, etc.

I'm really not sure why you say I don't bring up any points. This "conversation" has kinda past its point. We both can agree with that. Yes you have irritated me, just like I've irritated you. We disagree but what I don't get is why you have to be such a prick about it. It is quite worrying to know you take pleasure in all this. Don't deny it, you've said I love this and I love that to a number of statements I made.

It just dawned on me that I'm a sixteen year old girl and you are probably a thirty something man. I guess that doesn't bother you though. I said it before, I made not effort to conceal the fact that I think your an utter prick. I guess you just didn't notice it. My "veiled mockery" as you think it is. Unlike you I'm not looking to prove myself. Get over yourself.

PS: I did look at your profile, and it was hilarious. The menstrual cycle? Seriously man, get a life.

LMAO! You never had any good points to begin with! Sorry to break it to you, but you haven't irritated me at all. You are the one who is clearly butthurt with all the "utter prick" BS. I love this? Wait...I thought I was irritated? Make up your mind already! XD

I am nowhere near 30, but thanks for making baseless assumptions. Oh, is being 16 your excuse for not being able to voice an opinion properly? I don't need to prove myself, especially to someone as petulant and ignorant as yourself. Hell even LukeaszB recently commented on how you haven't made a single point. Keep failing, you're amazing at it! ;)

PS: You don't even understand the context in which that was brought up. You are once again making ridiculous assumptions. Feel free to keep lurking on my profile though, at least until mommy puts you to bed. Okay brat?

Okay fine, I guess her being topless wasn't really that pointless, I'll give you that. KCohere or whatever their name was brought up the good point that it made her look like a little girl with her bug eyes and such.

Oh and I never said that me being 16 made me inferior (you somehow got that impression) and I assumed you were in your 30s or maybe 20s. Excuse me if I got that wrong. You weren't irritated, so must have enjoyed this. Now you are a prick so I would love to stop this little chat. Make your snide remark below that I won't read and then be done with it. Okay? • Yes we need to have nudity.

  • ........

I can't come to a rational conclusion as to how a person could be soooo stupid.

  • Oh no! boobs!!!

  • This is how I saw it.

Georgie was alone, he wanted a show, and all that. He was...I guess you could say training Nerissa for pole dancing in front of an actual audience, and I saw it as letting you know exactly what kind of person Georgie is.

When he's sitting there screaming, calling her a "Dozy bitch" and verbally abusing her, I already knew I wasn't going to like this guy. So I do think it worked.

  • I'm actually glad they had the nudity there. Not so I can be a pervert, but because it really put emphasis on the situation. These poor girls are resorting to gentleman's clubs and prostitution in a world that is supposed to 'happy' and such. The nudity just added that extra effect of, "Holy s***. This is what is really going on in FableTown." Made me truly feel sorry for how they are parading their bodies for a sicko, but still feel forced to have to do it to survive.

  • Needed? No. It was not needed. However, it isn't really grounds for criticism, because it fits all of the characters perfectly, and puts Bigby into another new situation where the player can further flesh out his character. They didn't have to go out of their way to change the story to put a naked Nerrisa in, she was a hooker and Georgie was an asshole pimp. It works just fine.

Also, no. The nudity had nothing to do with the delay, that was because they changed the story they were going to follow drastically between episodes one and two. I believe it was because of a leak (although I heard that from Reddit, and you never really know with Reddit)
