Physical Quirks / Flowers

So this probably has nothing to do with anything, but did anyone else notice that Lily had a holly tattoo on her leg? It could be assumed that it's an expression of love for her sister Holly, but I thought they were extremely estranged?

Also, Nerissa had a lily in her hair. Holly has a tattoo of something too but it's hard to tell what it is exactly. I dunno, could it possibly be a sign of MORE Smoke and Mirrors where women are disguising themselves more as other women, even the women Bigby has already investigated?

To be honest everything I'm saying makes no sense to even me, I just wanted to point out this detail and see if anyone had theories or thoughts about why they are the way they are.
The way the flower in Nerissa's hair is a lily, not a random flower, and a character that works with her happens to be Lily, vise versa the holly tattoo.

On another note, what's everyone think the purpose of the lilacs on the bed are?

Bigby can work that one out himself - it's a recreation of Snow White's 'deathbed', from when she ate the poison apple.

  • Good point, I didn't notice they used those flowers in the book until now.
